Julia Clark, who was born on May 25, 1978, in Evanston, Illinois to Emilie and Clark Down, grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of Maryland in 2001.
Julia later joined the Peace Corps and worked as a volunteer sustainable agriculture coach in Panama.
Julia attended the University of New Mexico School of Law between 2007 and 2010.
Julia held positions as a program assistant at Landmine Survivors Network, an executive assistant at the Institute of International Education, and an operation consultant at Cinnafilm, Inc.
From October 2010 to April 2011, Julia worked at Will Ferguson & Associates as a legal assistant.
She worked as a Bernalillo County Attorney’s Office extern and a US Army JAG intern in 2009.
On US 64 west of Taos, close to the Taos Mesa Brewing, a vehicle in a green Ford Expedition rear-ended Julia’s red Volvo station wagon on October 5, 2021.
Julia passed away. She was 43 years old at the time. Julia’s funeral ceremony was held at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church in Albuquerque.
